Exterior

The thatched-roof farmhouse built during the Meiji era has preserved its beautiful roof for over 130 years.

As its name suggests, Hola MIYAMA is a traditional thatched-roof house located in the Hora village.
Its name combines the Spanish greeting "hola" (hello) with "hora" (meaning "cave"), reflecting the philosophy of the operating company, Kimura Co., Ltd., which has its roots in the construction industry. The name was chosen in the hope that it would be a welcoming home where visitors could drop by casually and experience daily life.

Traditional thatched-roof houses had wooden floors throughout, except in the guest rooms.
The Ue-daidoko(living room), with its irori hearth, recreates these traditional floors and is fully equipped with underfloor heating.
Originally, the dining space had an earthen floor including kitchen, it now has underfloor heating. While it looks like a retro kitchen and dining area from the Showa era, it is a fully climate-controlled facility—warm in winter and cool in summer.
